Well my Baby has been singing "Jordy birfday to you" all day as today she turned 2. I cannot believe that she is 2, in the last 2yrs she has tried to kill herself at least 5 times, sat in the pond, run away in a carpark, pierced the back of her throat with a pen, fractured her leg, climbed various high things. She will give me heart failure one day but I love her dearly and she has so much character that she makes me laugh constantly, so for her birthday I pulled out my Cricut Cake Machine and made her this......... its her favourite

Well my little cheerleader had her first display last saturday and I am very proud of her, she did a wonderful job of smiling all the time as well as getting most of her routine right. Here are some pics I took after the performance

I have been busily organizing a surprise party for my DHs 40th this month and it is all going to happen tomorrow night, have venue and caterers done, my mate is doing the music, and have a few of Phils good mates and family coming... Today while he was at work I did his cake, luckily his mate rang me and told me he was coming home early!!!! but then the same mate took him to the pub so I could finish the cake.... Well alot has happened this month in my life and I gotta tell you I am over it....
After Tayla turned 6 and we went to white water world and she took me on this monsterous waterslide, trying to finish my scraproom unsuccessfully, working for a week, Tayla starting cheerleading, trying to organized a surprise party for phils 40th, and then this!!!!

Yep Jordyn has a fractured Leg!!!!! she thought she would climb the ladder of her sisters new bed and of course fell off, it is not a bad fracture just a minimal greenstick fracture....we have an appointment at the fracture clinic at the mater childrens hospital on tuesday arfternoon. Wish me luck.
anyway life was not meant to easy so I will keep going. I did however get a wonderful photo of miss broken leg before her little accident that I would share. It is so cute qnd has become my favourite photo, can't wait to scrap it... ONCE THE ROOM IS FINISHED

BEEN SO LONG

Sorry its been so long since I posted, Christmas was fantastic spent with Family, My darling husband bought me a new canon SLR for Xmas and my birthday, isn't he spesh.

From the New year I have been renovating and decorating my scrap room so have been very busy doing that along with getting ready for back to school. Tayla is starting year 1 this year and has gotten into a 1/2 composite class so she is a bit nervous about getting new teachers and being in a class with older kids, but I am positive that she will do fine as usual.

Jordyn will be starting daycare when school goes back also... I am pleased that I will get some of my own life back but I fear I will miss her terribly. She will love it and be the king pin of her room in no time I think, I will be the one getting the phone calls about the how naughty she has been I think (she is such a shocker) I never got a phone call about Tayla.

Phil is still working plenty hard at the airport link, the rain is hindering the progress of the job but you cannot help mother nature.

Anyway I have more painting to do in the scraproom (will put up pics soon) talk again soon

THE FINAL BATTLE

Yesterday my Uncle lost his battle with Brain Cancer..... He kleaves behind a loving wife, 3 beautiful grown daughters and 4 precious grandchildren.
I not only grieve for the lose of my uncle but for the beloved husband, precious father and loved grandfather. This morning at school was asked if I was OK, and that is when it hit me....and I have been blubbering ever since. I hope my Aunt and Cousins know that if they need anything that I weill be there if they need me.
My Dearest Uncle Merv may you rest in peace.

Miss Tayla has recently had one of her scrapbooking LOs sent to Scrapbook Memories for photography purposes and they may publish her in one of ther issues in the young scrappers gallery... The other day we recieved the LO back in the mail with no note or explaination etc...
So you can imagine that my budding scrapper was very dissapointed... SO I decided that I would build her a little blog so she can publish her work herself..... she chose the name and the background and has recently set a challenge fo kids on the website I frequent. I am so proud of her, she is such a little perfectionist and I love her!!!!

Four days ago I started Champix to give up smoking..... after 3 days of feeling absolutely horrible (dry reaching, nausea, headaches, sweats) after taking it, I am slowly getting used to it and not feeling as sick, and am down to about 3 ciggarettes a day!!!
So I am thinking that this stuff may actaully work!! I am doing this for my children as I want to be around to enjoy my grandchildren and I won't be if I continue to smoke. Hopefully I will pass the test of stress next time I have a bad day with the kids!!!!!! Wish me luck

I worked on Thurs and Frid last week and again today and will do so again tomorrow and wednesday...... I've gotta tell ya after having a couple of years off, I am very tired..... I cannot believe that a couple of days work can knock me around so much but I do try and work as hard as possible while I am there. I must admit though I miss my babies and feel like I am not there for them even though its only a few days. Do not know if I could do fulltime work again as I would miss my girlz far too much :)

I had real trouble with the sketch challeng at The Scrappers Outlet this month, but with a little bit of inspiration from Wendy and Alia I finally got it done.

Nothing exciting happening in my life ATM, worked a couple of days last week, nice bit of pocket money. Phil is still working hard on the Airport Link we are hoping this job will last until at least Christmas. Tayla has another loose tooth and is patiently waiting for it to fall out so she can try and see the Tooth Fairy. Jordyn is getting into more things everyday.....Talking lots more, her favourite thing is to stand and shout at the top of her lungs MUM!!! I am soooo going to change my name.

MISS 5

Well my eldest daughter (miss 5) is a little floozy....she came home from prep today to tell me that she had had the best day EVA!!!! Because one of the boys in her class (Taj) that she has been off again, on again with all year had sat next to her at 1st break and then he sat next to her to watch a movie at 2nd break (it was a rainy day so no outside play) THEN he sat next to her in class. I asked her what about her boyfriend? she said very matter of factly that she dumped him and now she is Taj's girlfreind. OMG!!! what will she be like when she is a teenager....

Miss 1 goes from clean to filthy in 2.3 seconds.... She is so into everything that as soon as I clean my house it is filthy again in no time as she just cannot keep still. What will I do with her?

On Monday the 16th at 2.30pm on TVSN will be the Cricut Cake Launch featuring ME!!!!!!! Yes I am off to Sydney on Monday to be on TVSN live. I will be demonstrating the Cricut Cake on national tv. I am a bit nervous but hopefully the hour long show will go quickly and I will not stuff anything up.

THE PALACE

DH bought the girls a new play gym a few weeks ago and it arrived on Tuesday so he took the day off Saturday to put it together. 11 hours later we had what we are fondly calling the PALACE. This thing is huge, it is 6m long and 3m wide. Luckily we did not have to pay someone to construct it for us (DH being a chippie) but it took both of us from 7.15am to 6.15pm to build it, and we only had a half hour for lunch. But the girls love it and that is money well spent.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Thank goodness the school holidays are over and life can become a routine again. Tayla did not really want to go back but that's life..... she was extremely hard to wake up in the morning, then I finally got her to school without much problem....Then I picked her UP!!!! She was a little sad when I picked her up, so when we got in the car I asked her what the problem was and she broke down and started sobbing that she had gotten in trouble at school.... So I went back to the classroom and spoke to her teacher and she had been moved that day as she was TALKING TO MUCH. The little social butterfly that she is was to busy talking to her friends instead of doing her school work. Needless to say we have had a serious chat about not listening to her teacher and talking to much to her friends and not doing her school work. I know she is just a preppy but I feel I have to set a precedent for the future, and in the future I want her to be an astute student (I want her to be popular as well but astute too) with good grades and she won't get those if she is not LISTENING in class.

Today Hubby had the day off and decided he would like to take the girls out for the day so I got online an purchased the $69 Dreamworld tickets that are valid for unlimited entry till Xmas Eve. The girls had a great time, seen a sheep shearing show and lots of Aussie animals then had some lunch and RIDES... Tayla loves rides so we took her and Jordyn to Wiggles World and they had a ride and a bit of fun there then headed over to Nickolodeon and had some more rides, Jordy loved it she was so excited by everything it was super cool. Tayla would have liked to go on more and more rides but time got late and unfortunatley the fun had to end. I did not take my camera BUGGER!! so do not have any pics for you but now that we have unlimited entry I will definatley take it next time.

This is a great new challenge I found on The Scrappers Outlet where you must use chocolate brown with 2 other colours, this month was shades of Choc, Aqua and White. I found this challenge just that a challenge as it made me think of how I could use these colours in different ways, it was really good although I am not completely happy with the finished product I'm sure as I do more of them I will develop new skills.

Well my school holidays have started with a bang, my Laptop crashed and I lost everything.... Luckily I was able to salvage some of my pics I lost from my BLOG. Now for the next 15days I will have to entertain my 5yr old. I am open to suggestions if anyone has an idea on how to do this.... I thought about the museum, the planetarium etc.

Life has been a bit busy of late, I have had a trip to Sydney to Demonstrate the Cricut cake for Print Blocks, I have started playing netball again and don't I know it.....(bit sore), and lots of things at school, hopefully it will all slow down a bit and I will be able to have a bit of a spring clean over the holidays. Am also thinking a trip to Toowoomba would be nice, oh and some scrapping. We will see how I go.

This is my second attempt at using the Cricut Cake, much better this time as I have figured out a couple of tricks that have worked a treat. The Brisbane Scrapbooking and Papercraft show went well, lots of people interested in the machine and rightly they should be it is great. This Monday I am heading down to Sydney for the day to demonstrate the machine at a food fair at the Sydney Convention and exhibition centre so wish me luck.

I have been lucky enough to be asked by Andrew at Print Blocks to have a play with the New Cricut Cake before it is released here in Australia in a few weeks. After many errors in figuring the right speeds and pressures as well as adapting our Aussie modelling paste to the machine etc I came up with the cake pictured below not my best work but it is the first time I have used the machine and there is no one else to tell me the best methods although I did alot of research on utube.... The machine itself is excellent, so easy to use and with the added bonus of being able to take all the existing cricut cartridges the number of designs that are available is incredible. The designs on the cake below are from the Cake Basic cartridge which comes with the machine. I will be doing another cake this week and will be Displaying the machines capabilities at the Scrapbook and papercraft show this weekend at the convention centre, so if your in town for the show make sure you come and see me on the Print Blocks stand, I'll be the one in the chefs hat....

Got back Monday from a scrapping retreat, it was a great time, I did a record 8 layouts and an OTP project. The food was excellent and the company was just as good, the room could not have been better. Met some really nice new friends and caught up with old ones. All in all a very good weekend. Now I just have to recover........
Thanks to my MIL for coming all the way from Toowoomba to look after my kids, Thanks Mum I really appreciate it, its nice to have a break now and then.

JORDYNS 1ST BIRTHDAY

Jordyn had her 1st birthday this week, I cannot believe she is 1 already. I am a bit sad as I have lost my baby and now have a toddler but am happy she is thriving. We had her party last saturday so that Nanny and Poppy could attend before they went off to Canada on holidays. We combined it with Anabelles 3rd birthday, so we were able to have some entertainment, Alia hired a magician called Johnny the Jester, he was fantastic and kept the kids entertained for a bit over an hour. He also brought along 2 snakes and a rabbit so all the kids got to have thier photo taken with a snake even Jordy. All in all it was a great day, Jordyn and Anabelle got spoilt rotten with lots of presents and cuddles. Jordy enjoyed herself so much she had a very long sleep half way through the party. Thanks to everyone for coming along and thank you for the great presents, Jordyn will be the best dressed girl all winter.

We did a lolly buffet for Jordyn and Anabelles birthday party, I scrapped the lolly jars and a letter J for the table. I think it turned out pretty good.

This first story is a bit yuk but funny all the same... Yesterday afternoon Jordyn was in my scrap room and knocked over a bowl of rhinestones, you know the cheap ones that you have to glue on about the size of you little finger nail. Well before I could get to her she had put a couple in her mouth.... and swallowed them. Next morning whilst changing her nappy I found the rhinestones..... YES her poo was sparkling. So now her poos don't stink they sparkle.

Yesterday afternoon again, Jordyn and Tayla were playing in the backyard and Tayla had her binoculars, after a bit she decided to share them with Jordy. this is how she looked thru them.

Today for Mothers Day my beautiful Tayla gave me some soap, a washer, a phone charm and a $1 coin, bless her, she bought these at school from the Mothers Day stall. They are my favourite presents.
Phil gave me this beautiful Guess watch, its just gorgeous and very me, helps that I went and got it but he did pay for it.....

Was talking to my MIL today and realised there are a few things I have not blogged over recent weeks so here is my catch up. Meet Wally he is a toy crocodile and he is a reward given at school for good behavior, he comes home with you and spends the night at your house and you have to draw a picture of him and parents have to write a short story of their adventures together. Tayla was the first in her class to get to take Wally home. Just goes to show she is a different girl at school........ Wally helped Tayla do her homework, then they played the guitar together, played on the swings, had dinner, wally was NOT allowed to have a bath with her, and finally they drifted off to sleep together to dream of new adventures tomorrow.

Last week Tayla attended her very first school disco it had a jungle theme so she wore her leopard print tights. She had a wonderful time and even won a prize for dancing. Heer is a couple of pics just before we left to go to the disco.

MOTHERS DAY

Tomorrow will be spent celebrating my twin nieces birthday they are turning 7 (i think). Down to the park to spend some time with them and Grandma for Mothers Day. I get breakfast cooked for me every sunday which is always nice so already know I am getting that, can't wait to see what Tayla bought me from the Mothers Day stall at school. Phil has bought me a beautiful Guess watch, I love it and feel a bit flash wearing it. Hope your Mothers Day is full of love.

Its coming up to Jordyn's first birthday so my BFF and I have decided to combine her daughters 3rd birthday (18th May) with Jordys 1st (19th May). Over the Anzac weekend we did the invitation, after alot of scrapcrastinating they came together quite well me thinks.

SURFING

HOW HARD IS SURFING!!!! Today my BFF and I took Matt (from Bo Bunny) for a surfing lesson at Main Beach on the Gold Coast, not only did it pour with rain but neither Mat nor I could stand up on one of the biggest boards I have seen. It is so exhausting that I had to stop twice to catch my breath. I got rolled a couple of times, I am sure I swallowed a quarter of the ocean, but I did have a good time, I will NOT have to exercise for the next 12 months. Then we headed for the Yatala Pie Shop so Matt could try a good old Aussie meat pie with mushy peas. All in all even though it rained most of the day we had a good time.

CREATIVE BLOCK

I was lucky enough to be able to be part of Print Blocks trade show, Creative Block this week as a volunteer. I hosted a classroom for EK Success, Lynette Carroll, Core dinations, Bo Bunny, Me and My Big Ideas, Do Crafts and We R Memory Keepers. I met some amazing Aussie Scrap Shop Owners and some wonderful International Guests. Learnt lots from the classes that I hosted and generally had a wonderful time. I am fairly exhausted as the days have been long and very busy but I do know that my and the other Volunteers efforts were very much appreciated. Creative Block was a wonderful experience and I would like to thank Andrew, Simone, Lynette and Michelle for letting me be apart of the very first Creative Block and I hope you will have me back next year. BAD NEWS

I recieved some bad news the other day one of my Uncles has just been diagnosed with Progressive Brain Cancer. He will be operated on either tomorrow or Wednesday, they think they can get up to 90% of it, then he will have radiation treatment for the rest. Hopefully this will do the trick. It is a frighteneing thing and all my hopes and good wishes are with him, my Aunt and 3 cousins. Kind of remeinds me that we are mortal, and that life can sometimes be a little unfair, he is a good man and does not deserve this horrible desease. He ande my Aunt were due to go to Canada with my Mum and Dad next month, the doctors have told him to go so hopefully he will have a great time and forget about his illness for a while.

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Well I am over the school holidays, Tayla is a constant whine about "what can I do now?". Worst thing is that this is the shortest school holidays in the year!! Phil had 5 days off over Easter which was lovely, he spent some quality time with Tayla doing some gardening. Spent Easter Sunday with my Family which was good, the girls got spoilt rotten of course. ( will be eating chocolate for a month ). Tayla's bunny trap failed to catch the Easter Bunny again this years but she will keep trying ( she wants to see what he looks like). I have finally caught up on my washing thanks to Alia who helped me out yesterday (she makes me feel slack). I am currently working on a very large canvas, so I got some of that done last night. Took some pics over the break though you might like to see, I think there pretty cute but they are pictures of MY kids...

GRANDPARENTS DAY

Wednesday was Grandparents day at Tayla's school, Nanny and Poppy joined me for the celebrations. First a wonderful Easter Bonnet Parade (the kids made them in class) followed by some Easter classroom activities, then a Easter egg hunt followed by a magnificent morning tea with a Grandparents day cake. Tayla had such a good morning I took her home afterwards so she could spend the rest of the day with Nanny and Poppy.

That night we had a lovely visit from Phils older sister Liegh and his Mum so that was great too as we have not seen Liegh for some time and they were able to see the photos from the day.

CROSS COUNTRY

Tayla competed in her first cross country yesterday. She did really well getting 5Th she received a participation ribbon for her efforts. She was quite chuffed with herself. I was very proud of her she got puffed about half way around as she had a stitch but then recovered and finished with a flourish.

MARCH CHALLENGE

This is my LO for the March Challenge on Scrapping Chicks it was a white and one challenge, the colour obviously was Red. I had been wanting to try these flowers for a while and this was a good opportunity, I like they way they turned out. The pic is of my niece at my wedding she is now 11 I think, she was such a good girl all day although the dress was no longer white at the end of the day, but kids will be kids.
