Red Glitter OH LA LA!

With a name like OH LA LA this embossing folder needed some Glitter!! Me, I Loooove Glitter so it was not hard to set about adding a bit off OH LA LA to this card.

To start this card simply cut a 7 x 10" piece of cardstock and score it at 5" to form a base. Cut a white mat at 4.5" x 6.5" and emboss using the Couture Creations Fine Designs Oh La La Embossing Folder, and adhere to card base. Take a fine tip black felt pen and doodle around the edge of the card.

Cut a piece of  Couture Creations Double Sided Tape and lay sticky side up on your work space. Then take a piece of tulle approx. 1" wide and pleat onto double sided tape. Finish with another piece of tape over the pleat, so that you can adhere to your card. Place the tulle on your card in desired position. Place some trim over the top of your pleated tulle using the existing tape to adhere. Do not worry if your trim does not cover the tape, I have a trick up my sleeve!

With a glue pen add some glue to the centre of the heart embossed images. Whilst still wet sprinkle with glitter and tap off excess. **here is the trick ready?

**when tapping off the excess glitter let it fall into your trim the tape that was left showing by your trim will now collect glitter and look like its meant to be there!!! Which it is.

Add a little double sided Jac paper to a piece of cardstock and cut a heart using the Couture Creations Nesting Dies Hearts. take the Jac paper front off and sprinkle with Glitter. Then arrange your new sparkly heart with some more embellishments and a flower or two to the left hand side of your tulle ruffle.

then using a fine tip black felt pen highlight the embossed images, branch and the bird on swing.

It had been so long since I had my watercolours out that I decided to take them for a bit of a drive and in the passenger seat was the Couture Creations Fine Designs Royal Embossing Folder. At the start I was a bit rusty but I think my little birdie turned out OK.

Something a little bit different from my normal style I think. Keeping it simple but fun with Couture Creations Fine Designs Turkish Delight Embossing Folder.

To do this card simply cut your Core'dinations cardstock into a 5x7 card base then cut 3 mats to fit front of base. Emboss top mat with Couture Creations Fine Designs Turkish Delight Embossing folder. After embossing cut out the full leaves from the embossed image with Couture Creations Precision Craft Knife.

Take a glue dot and place over the center of the embossed flower image. With embroidery floss follow the lines of the embossed flower looping back onto the glue dot to secure. **you may have to add another dot as a second layer. finish with Couture Creations Adhesive Gemstones

Attach some Jac paper to the back of your embossed mat over the cut out leaves, so that the sticky side is facing upwards. Sprinkle with glitter, work around with finger and tap access off.
Attach all mats to card base and embellish with more Couture Creations Adhesive Gemstones.

It was my Husbands birthday last saturday so I set to creating him a birthday card.... I love the manly feel of the Couture Creations Fine Designs Uber Embossing folder, and him being a carpenter I thought the Uber design held an achetectual steampunk quality that suited him to a T. And in true Tracey form I created a set.

Happy Birthday Phil!!!

Pure Pleasure

I was lucky enough to have some family and friends over yesterday to do some papercrafting. So with some good conversation, good coffee, a little bit of Core dinations and some mist I came up with this card using the Couture Creations Fine Designs Pure Pleasure Embossing Folder. The name really sums up my day.

So I have been super lucky in being chosen for the Couture Creations Design Team as the Special Projects Designer. I was given this position a couple of weeks ago but the rest of the 2013 Design Team was announced today and I am really looking forward to working with some of the amazing designers on this team. You can find out who they are on the Couture Creations Blog and while your there do not forget to sign up for the newsletter as a subscribers only competition started today!!!

About Me

Hi Couture Creators
Since you have been seeing my work for a couple of weeks now and I though it was time I introduced myself....My name is Tracey Cooley and I am super excited to be the Special Projects member of the Couture Creations Design Team. I am 40 years young and live in sometimes sunny Queensland in the Logan area. I have 2 beautiful and sometimes rambunctious daughters and I have been married 10 yrs to a man that truly looks after me. I am super lucky to have a handful of TRUE friends and a wonderful supportive family. I have been scrap booking for approx. 9 yrs and love to play with different techniques and see what I can come up with. I love the way that paper craft can bring generations together, it fills me with joy to see my mother (70), my sister (50) and my daughters (3 and 8) sitting at my craft table scrap booking together.  It also lets me have some me time occasionally, where I can hide away in my craft room and find my sanity when life seems to be sending me crazy, I keep telling my husband it is cheaper than therapy! (when he walks through my craft room I do not think he believes me!) I have a love of stationery and my paper craft feeds that love,  there is nothing like finding or making that perfect embellishment and the satisfaction of a finished page or card just the way you envisioned it. I love trolling the Internet to find inspiration in other things and marvel at how clever some people are. I only hope that I can inspire others the way they inspire me.

Last night I hit my craft room and I have decided I love this elegant Fine Designs One World Folder. So in keeping with its elegance I decided to KISS these cards (Keep It Simple Stup*d).
Black and white being my fav colour combo it was not hard to do.

Here is a quick and easy Tutorial

Cut Core dinations Bright White Foundations Cardstock to 6.5" x  9" score at 4.5" and emboss front of card with Couture Creations Fine Designs One World Emboss Folder. *TIP Slip the emboss folder into your card ensuring the fold is tightly against the edge of the back of the Emboss folder.
With your Couture Creations Craft Knife cut along the edge of one of the vines to form a fancy edge. And if the mood takes you, you can cut the centre of some of the leaves out to form peekaboos.

Take a fine tipped felt pen and draw around parts of the embossed image to add some interest and highlight certain elements of the design.
Cut a piece of pattern paper and adhere to the inside back of card, place a flower where desired and add a few Couture Creation Adhesive Gemstones for some glamour.
Now don't forget to scoot on over to the Couture Creations Blog because.... they have some super cool competitions happening and they are just about to announce their first Design Team!! Who will the lucky ones be???
Oh and remember while your there sign up for the newsletter or you may miss out on something reeeeaaally cool!!!!

Here is a quick tutorial of some cards I did for Couture Creations using their very cool Extra Flint Embossing Floder from their new Fresh and Fun Collection

Cut mats from cardstock and pattern paper to fit card size and emboss smallest with Couture Creations Extra Flint Embossing Folder. Adhere mats ro card.
Using an electronic cutter cut a paper lace design to suit your card size. Used here is a Cricut with the Cricut Paper Lace cartridge. **TIP if you do not own a electronic cutter using the Couture Creations Doily Dies will give the same effect. Adhere to centre of card

Adhere a couple of flowers to bottom corner of card.

Ink chipboard dress form with Brown ink, let dry and  stamp a design on top with a glue pad. Sprinkle with glitter and then tap off the access. ***TIP if you do not have a glue pad simply spread a thin layer of glue on some scrap paper and press your stamp in it then stamp chipboard.

Ink chipboard scissors cover with glue and apply Couture Creations Pearl to scissor hinge then sprinkle with Glitter. Tap off access.

Ink chipboard thread spool with brilliance ink to match card colours. adhere chipboard elements to card tucking them under the attached flowers and….viola!!!
