Hi Everyone
As this year comes to a close I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU.
For me this year has been one of joy and discovery. I have been blessed with a year where my children have shone and I have been able to spend some amazing moments with them both. I have been able to spend my year doing something I love, thanks to my very supportive Husband Phillip and Couture Creations.
And of course.. Thank you for Tuning into the Couture Creations Blog this year to check out all the things we have created with some amazing products by Couture Creations.
I made this card for my Daughters Cheerleading Coach but it really is for all of you as well.
This card is a 6" square card using a couple of pieces of the gorgeous Couture Creations Vintage Rose 6x6 Paper Pad.
I then cut 4 of the Couture Creations Vintage Rose Vintage Borders from Core Dinations Fern Card Stock and made them into a square using my Couture Creations (very well used) 15x15 Self Healing mat as a guide!
Then with a piece of Vintage Rose Paper I covered the centre.
I added this to the front of my card  and then cut a Couture Creations Square Plaque and embossed it using the Couture Creations Universal Embossing Mat. Then stamped a message and added it to my card.
Then using the Couture Creations Vintage Rose Vintage Branch Die I cut 2 branches. To the front of my card I added some seam binding ribbon and a bow. Then I added the branches as foliage under some flowers.
So Thank so Much for coming to visit my last post for 2014!
May your 2015 be filled with all the love and happiness you could wish for.......
Oh and Happy Anniversary to my Mum and Dad!!!
51 years Today!
 Love you both.

Hi Everyone
The school year is coming to a close very quickly if not already for some. My children finish school for the Xmas break this coming Friday. So I thought it about time I organized some Teachers Gifts. My children have been blessed this year with extraordinary teachers....The encouragement they have given my girls to strive to be the best they could be was second to none. Through this encouragement my girls, especially my eldest, have excelled beyond my comprehension. So to thank them for going above and beyond their duties as a Teacher and really caring for the well being and education of my 2 girls, I made them these.....
To make a Stationery Cakes simply take 3 round gift boxes of different diameters and stack, leaving the lid off the smallest ( I pop the lid in one of the other boxes). Then of course you will need an assortment of stationery that is about the same height as your gift boxes (or your teachers favourite Choc Bar), a cake board and some ribbon and embellishments. Once you have your supplies, cover the outside of your gift boxes one tier at a time.
Then wrap some ribbon around your stationery and secure with hot Glue and embellish with Couture Creations Holly Branch Flourish Die Cut, cut from Core dinations Glitter Silk Card stock and some Jingle Bells.
Crayons are a great item to cover your gift boxes with especially for the younger Grade teachers. They will definitely come in handy for them next year! My second layer is sticky notes ( a little harder to get around the box but worth the effort). I have embellished this layer with an opposing colour Glitter silk Holly Branch Flourish.

My third layer is erasers, good for all those mistakes that the kids make! This time due to a lack of space I have embellished with the Couture Creations Holly and Berries Die Cut. Looks Fab don't you think?
Finally at the very top in my open box I have placed a small container (a plastic cup works well also) wrapped around the bottom of the container is some award stickers that should come in handy next year too! Along with some candy canes, pencils and a novelty USB stick. To finish off this very last part of my stationery cake I have mounted a die cut Couture Creations Merry Christmas onto acetate using the new Couture Creations 2 Way Glue Pen and attached it to a stick and popped it in with the pencils.
If you are like me and think Teachers have Super Powers then these are a great and useful gift ....
and the Couture Creations Merry Little Christmas Die Cuts finish them off perfectly!
I loved making these so much I made two for my daughters also... they will go under the tree on Christmas morning!
For my 9yr old Daughter Tayla who loves loom bands, I have done her Lollies (candy) and loom bands and I have filled the gift boxes with packs of loom bands as well!!!
For my 5yr old Minnie Mouse obsessed Daughter I have done a chocolate and stationery cake..
The note books and pencils are because she loves writing out peoples orders at Minnie's Café!
The boxes are filled with the left over chocolates from the packs.
So grab some of our Couture Creations Merry Little Christmas Dies and create your own

Hi Everyone
Being so Close to Christmas now (... only 7 more Wednesdays including today!!) I thought I had better start some decorations, so with the help of the Couture Creations Secret Treasures Retro Flower Die I made some Pinecones and added them to a glittery branch for my table.
To make my pinecones I die cut 12 of the medium Retro flowers and pinched all the petals upwards
Then I took 1 flower and after pushing the petals upward for movement I dabbed a bit of glue on each petal and squeezed the petals upwards to form a type of bud.
I then set the bud aside to dry. I then took my other layers of flower and adhere the layers so that a Couture Creations foam mounting square lies between the top and bottom of every third layer
I repeated this process putting a foam mounting square between each layer closer to the top of the pinecone. then when I had the desired height I add the bud to finish,
I then grabbed a stick from my garden and with some Spray adhesive coated it with gold glitter.
Then I  added my Pinecones with hot glue and added some cotton wool under them for affect.
So now I have my table centre I can start to plan my menu.
Thanks for stopping by!

HI Everyone
I am extremely happy to be able to create with the brand new Pattern Papers
"Vintage Rose" by Couture Creations and on this card I have used a sheet from the
6'x6' paper pad and of course some Couture Creations Dies.
I simply cut a card base to my desired size which happened to be the width of the Couture Creations Metricon Gate To Eden Die cut. I then added an gold mat and of course the Couture Creations Vintage Rose Pink & Green Roses paper.
I then die cut the Gate to Eden
Hint: if your cutting machine is a little well used like mine try turning, your larger dies and running them through again.

After cutting the Gate to Eden I add it to the front of my card.
I then cut a Couture Creations Floral lace Heart Bouquet die cut and embossed it with gold UTEE with the help of the Couture Creations Heat tool and Craft mat
I then added it to my card. , I took some old silk flowers I had and heated the middle of the flower with the Couture Heat tool until it melted a little.

The heat gives the flowers some texture and lift and makes for a fuller flower.
I then layered the flowers adhering each layer with Couture Creations Glue Spots, then added it to my card.
Using some Couture Creations Glitzin Glamour Aztec Gold and a Clear Button I created a flower  centre for my heated flower.
I added some Aztec Gold Glitzin Glamour to parts of the Gate to Eden and a gold embossed greeting to finish off.
I hope you like the way this card turned out as much as I do.
Thanks for stopping by.

Dragonfly Fearie

Hi Everyone
One day, just one day I would love to stumble upon a fearie... a land of cute little fairies that are all sparkles and mischief.... its a lovely daydream isn't it. There is just something about the though of fairies being real that fills your imagination with wonder and mischief. I think this land would be filled with all sorts of different looking fairies including one that looks like this!
To make this little Dragon Fairy Card I cut a piece of cardstock to the correct size for my card front and grabbed a piece of book paper.
I then covered the cardstock with the book paper
Then with an ink pad that has a hard surface I inked the top side (the label side) of my Couture Creations Ambassador Dandelion Embossing Folder.
While the ink was still wet I ran may book paper cardstock through it in my fav cutting machine.
once through I cleaned my emboss folder with a wet wipe.
I love the effect this has on the book paper it seems to jut soak up the ink and give such a crisp clean look. Once done I then used some of my Couture Goodness to create my Dragon fairy..
I used 2 of the dragonflies and cut off their little wings to make the skirt of my fairy and the of course one for the wings of the fairy and one I paced in the corner of my card. I coated them with hologram glitter before adding.
I then added a couple of little roses.
If I cannot stumble across a real fearie....
I can certainly make my own!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by have a fairy fantastic day!!

Hi Everyone
My 5 year old daughter is a huge Minnie Mouse Fan... So much so that she has one of the walls in her room painted with polka dots...She also has a Minnie inspired toy timber kitchen that she calls  Minnie's Café. A couple of weeks ago she mentioned very matter of fact that she did not have a bin for Minnie's Café.
(hint hint Mum, its no hard to get me to make these things... I mean who doesn't love Minnie Mouse?)
So with the help of some Couture Creations Nesting Dies and some Glitter I made her Minnie's Bin.
I purchased a MDF waste paper bin from my local hardware store and painted it black.
I then cut 1 large Couture Creations Circle Nesting Die, quite a few of a smaller one and  1 small Victorian rectangle nesting die from Double Sided Adhesive paper.
I Then adhered them to my painted panels leaving the top backing paper in place. I layered Minnie's silhouette with the large Circle being her face, 2 of the smaller circles as her ears and the Victorian rectangle as Minnie,s Bow!
I then sprayed the entire panel with Spray adhesive and added Black Glitter.
For good coverage I repeated this process.
I then removed all the top backing papers from the Adhesive paper with the Couture Creations Pokey Tool from the Handheld essentials kit, all except for the Victorian Rectangle, I left the top of that in place.
Then I added silver glitter to the Adhesive paper and tapped off the excess. I then removed the top backing paper from the Victorian Rectangle and added red Glitter!
I repeated this process with all sides of my project and then sealed them with a few coats of Spray sealer. After they dried I assemble my project.
the perfect bin for Minnie's café!!!!

This technique can be transferred to cardstock for cards and Scrapbooking layouts using any of the Couture Creations Dies...just leave out the sealer!!
Thanks for stopping by... Have a Minnietastic Day!
