Hi Everyone

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you all did not spend too much at the Boxing Day Sales.
Today I have a pretty pink all occasions card for you using some of the Art Deco Creations Brands and ranges including the Anna Griffin Mixed Media, Bulk flowers and the Ornamental Affair ranges.

To start this card I cut a piece of Couture Creations Glitter Paper in white to a mat size that would fit a 5x7 card, this will be my card front.
(sorry about the messy mat I have 2, one for mixed media (this one) and another clean one for the cleaner side of crafting.)

Then using the above Couture Creations Anna Griffin Creeping Vine Stencil I smeared my pink paste randomly over the glitter mat. And dried with a Couture Creations Heat Tool.

Then I cut a Couture Creations Ornamental Affair Jasper Doily from Ultimate Crafts Snow White Cardstock and cut it in half placing half onto the front of my card front as a pretty accent.

Making a Couture Creations Anna Griffin Pigment Powder and alcohol mix, taking a brush I transformed a Couture Creations Camden Cottage White Rose into a shimmering pink beauty.
once dry I added it to m card front along with some Couture Creations Beaded Script flowers that I removed the bead from and turned upside down. I also added some seam binding ribbon and a metal butterfly and I filled a tiny glass bottle with some Couture Creations Anna Griffin Glitter.

I finished off this pretty pink card front with some Couture Creations Gemstones, and some sequins.
hen of course I backed my card front with some Matching Pink Ultimate Crafts Cardstock and then used some Ultimate Crafts Ivory Cardstock as my card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope your New Year is as crafty as you want it to be!

Hi Everyone

Oh My Gosh!!! Christmas is soooo close now..... I hope you have all your Christmas creating done.
We get so busy at this time of year that we sometimes forget those who are having birthdays this month. A friend of mine has her Dads birthday this coming Friday so I have made her this card to help make it special.

I have used a few different ranges for this card ( I love the way I can mix and match my Art Deco Ranges). I have used the Ultimate Crafts Oh La La paper range and a Couture Creations Wild and Free Die, a Couture Creations Sea Breeze Die and an Ultimate Crafts Seasons Greetings Die along with (of course Ultimante Crafts cardstock and Couture Creations Glitter paper).

I started with 2 different but matching coloured cardstocks and folded one into a 5x7 card base and the other into a mat. I distressed both the base and mat and set aside. I then cut 2 more mats from the Ultimate Crafts Oh La La collection. Again I distressed the edges.

I then wrapped the mats with some matching embroidery floss for depth and texture.

I thin die cut the following die. Couture Creations Wild and Free Akua Doily Set from brown cardstock. The compass from the Couture Creations Sea Breeze Cardinal set from mirror gold cardstock. And from Glitter Cardstock I cut a heart from the Ultimate Crafts Seasons Greeting When you wish die set.

I tore another piece of the Oh La La collections into and interesting formation for the front of the card then set to putting my die cuts into place.

I added some other embellishments I had lying around my craft room and then added my torn card front with foam mounting tape.

No male card is complete without some brass and hessian a button and some rubons.

So Whilst your finishing off your Christmas projects don't forget those who are celebrating something else this month.

Wishing you and your family the merriest of Christmases and a happy and healthy New Year.

Hi Everyone

I am super excited that our upcoming event, Creative Inspiration Live has sold out!!
And even more excited that there is going to ANOTHER one just for those people who missed out on tickets. I cannot wait to see you all there!!!

As you can guess it is my turn on the blog today and I had recently been asked to make some cards for a couple of  the Male Teachers at my daughters school as they are moving onto different things next year. I don't know about you guys but with having two gorgeous daughters I struggle with Male orientated cards. So I thought my best chance of making something that is passable would be to head to the Couture Creations Wild and Free range. I think male cards should have texture and Wild and Free has that and more.

I started this card with the leopard print from the Couture Creations Wild and Free Collection kit.
I cut it slightly smaller than the card base I created and then I distressed and inked the edges.

Then I chose a matching Ultimate Crafts Cardsock and stamped it with a versamark ink with the Ultimate Crafts Background Textures Stamp Checkers and chicken. While the ink was still wet I added some Couture Creations Clear Embossing Powder and heated with the ever awesome Couture Creations heat tool.

After the embossing process I then distressed and inked the edges using a Couture Creations Dauber.

Before adhering the above cardstock I cut a Couture Creations Wild and Free Akua Doily set from black cardstock. I then placed the large doily under the stamped piece. I added some gauze to add an earthy element to the card. I placed the smaller doily on the top in the bottom corner.

Once I had let everything dry a bit I then embossed some Brown cardstock with the Couture Creations Wild and Free Tribal Diamonds Embossing folder.
I then added some hinges to give it a heritage look and some string and beads.

I then cut a Wild and Free Ekene Tree from metallic silver cardstock

After cutting I played with some alcohol inks over the silver cardstock, Play until you are happy with the effect. Then I gave it a hand to dry using my heat tool and using Couture Creations Foam dots added it to the front of my card

I then added some little alpha stickers to say farewell and I was all done.
I hope he likes it!!!!!

see you all at CIL!
