Sampler Card

Hi Everyone

As I am gearing up for the Brisbane Papercraft Expo on the 10th, 11th and 12th of June I have a very quick card for you all today!
On more than one occasion that one of my children has come to me the night before and friends birthday and said "Mum can make Jane  card for her birthday".
With Being a busy Mum running around to sports practices 5 days a week and trying to help out at school and having a few deadlines to meet I find myself in the predicament of have to make a very quick card for said child. Here is one I whipped up the other day on just such an occasion.

To do this simple card all you need is the sampler paper from the Magnolia Lane range.
then simply cut 3 of your favourite samples out

with the butterfly sample I cut the wings out but left his body attached to the paper with a Couture Creations Soft Grip Craft Knife

under the wings I attached some Jac paper and sprinkled some Couture Creations Irridescent Superfine mix Glitter.

I then cut from another one of the samples a matching flower and a small butterfly from another pattern paper within the range and placed them on my other sample for the card.

I added some Couture Creations Glitzin Glamour to the butterfly and the center of the flower and mounted them with Couture Creations Mounting tape onto some Ultimate Crafts Cardstock. And leaving the center quote glued to the card base.

And that's it... A super quick card for one of those moments when you are just too busy.

Hope to see you at the Brisbane Papercraft Expo in June

Hi everyone

As I have upcoming classes at the Brisbane Papaercraft Expo I thought that it was time I did a layout
So with the Brand New SEA BREEZE Collection I set to creating.

first I took the Sea Breeze Weatherboard pattern paper and separated the weatherboards. after cutting them to the correct width I distressed the edges for effect using the Couture Creations non Stick Scissors and adhered them to a card stock base. I added some silver brads for more effect

I then cut a white die cut using the Sea Breeze crashing waves die.
Using the new Couture Creations Chunky white Embossing powder I added some texture to the waves of my die cut.

Cutting the seahorse and coral, pelican at the boat ramp, seagulls over the ocean and tied anchor die cuts from matching card stock. I added the die cuts around my feature photograph leaving the seagull for the top right hand corner.

I also added some of the gorgeous shells and sentiment signs from the Sea Breeze ephemera kit

Don't forget if you would like to get your hands on some of this gorgeous Sea Breeze Collection...
simply book into my BY THE SEA DOUBLE LAYOUT class at the Expo and receive the a complete collection kit in your class kit.

And be quick to get into classroom 8 for my Blossoms and Butterflies card class.
My card class sold out last year!!!!!

As always I will be dressed in costume for the Expo.
Can you guess what I will be this year??

Thanks so much for stopping by
