L'Aquarelle card

Hi Everyone

Oh my gosh it is getting so close to Creative Inspiration Live now.... Super Exciting!!
I have been playing with the almost released paper in preparation for the event and it is so mucn fun to use.

A super quick card for you all today, starting with the 6x6 L'Aquarelle paper pad.

I chose the above pattern paper from the pad as I love the shade of blue featured in the butterfly.
I cut this piece down to 5.6" x 3.6" card front. I also cut a matching blue cardstock mat 5.7" x 3.7" and a chocolate brown card base 6" x 4"

Using the Couture Creations Craft Knife I cut around the wings of the butterfly leaving the body attached. Then bent up the wings to create the effect of flight. Then I mounted the pattern paper onto the light blue mat and then onto my chocolate card base.

I then cut some lace and ribbon to go across the bottom of my card.
I then took a Couture Creations Beaded Flower with Script and took off the bead then turned it upside down.

In the middle I added some blue with the Couture Creations Anna Griffin Pigment Powders and water and let dry.

I then cut a white piece of card stock using the Ultimate Crafts Drifting Frond Die and inked it Chocolate Brown for a different effect. I then added the frond and the flower to my card front near the butterfly along with a couple of tie died flowers.

around my cluster of flowers I added some sequin and then topped it with some Couture Creations 2mm gemstones in Powder Blue. Also adding them across the ribbon i used.

I hope you have an awesome day and I will see you next weekend!!!

Hi Everyone

For those of you who do not know my gorgeous daughters have a passion for Cheerleading.
both of my girls are in several teams and compete several times a year.
In 2016 my eldest daughter and her team was lucky enough to win the Queensland State Championship for her level. And then later on in the year won the Australian National and Pinnacle Championships with one of her other teams.
Each year we celebrate with a Gala dinner where her State Championship team celebrated with a group photo. I decided to scrapbook this achievement like a good cheer Mum.

With all those different dress colours in the photograph it was perfect for the new Ultimate Craft L'Aquarelle Collection.

I started with a piece of Ultimate Crafts Snow White Cardstock and used the Couture Creations Anna Griffin Pigment powders mixed with some alcohol to spritz a background.

Take the long Die cut from the L'Aqurelle Die cut pack and cut so that it forms a jagged border and add it over to the bottom third of the layout.

I hen took some of he L'Aquarelle pattern papers from the Paper Pad and ripped it into 3 large-ish pieces and 1 long. I add the long piece over the die cut border and then scattered the other 3 as my photo mats

I added some pigment powder to one of the other die cuts so that it matched the pattern papers that I chose. i added it to the side of a white card stock photo mat.

I then used some more of the pigment inks to colour the centre of some Couture Creations flowers.
Which I added to the corner of my layout along with a L'Aquarelle trinkets and a dragonfly charm.

Then I took a thin black marker and doodled around the entire layout, photo mat and other elements for effect.
